At our gym, we follow the rules of MMA as a sport to reduce the risk of injuries without compromising the realism of the training. For example, we don't allow hitting on the spine or in the crotch, fingers in the eyes, or kicking a sitting opponent in the face.

MMA is best known for the 'Ultimate Fighting Challenge', or the UFC. Our MMA classes are designed for all levels. We start with a warming up, followed by techniques that we drill as skill development and further warming up.

Depending on the technique we sometimes use positional sparring to learn how to deal with a specific situation.

Classes end with sparring, which is optional if you are just beginning.

We have a focus on adaptive training, depending on the skill level of your partner you adapt your intensity. It's very important to be able to train in a safe environment where you can trust your training partner.

MMA is more than just a sport - it's also an incredibly effective self defense system. #### How safe is Mixed Martial Arts?

As long as it is practiced under professional supervision and with mutual respect, MMA is a safe sport. Aggression during training is absolutely forbidden. Contrary to what outsiders might sometimes think, people train with us because they love the sport, not to vent aggression. The essence is learning self-control, developing self-confidence, and applying technique under pressure. That being said: MMA is a contact sport and, just like in football, we cannot completely rule out the risk of injuries, although they are usually limited to minor bruises.
